This course will introduce students to a wide variety of basic construction and is comprised of a classroom lecture followed by hands-on skill sessions. The course is dedicated to taking proper measurements calculating area volume and square footage and will also discuss Hand Tool and Power Tool Safety Ladders and Fall Protection. The majority of the course will focus on framing components which will also involve installing windows and doors repairing sheetrock and/or wall board. The remaining time students will be introduced to basic concrete and masonry skills.
