The Alternative Energy Technology Certificate Program

This nine (9) week training program, “The Alternative Energy Technology Certificate Program”, is geared toward preparing students for the fast evolving alternative energies and green fields.  This course curriculum is designed to expand the student’s knowledge of green building which will aid in their quest for employment in these fields.  EMGC strives to prepare students with the practical skills and environmental certifications that will enhance their marketability for placement in the green/environmental fields such as energy auditor and weatherization technicians, asbestos and lead supervisors, and hazardous waste technicians.

The Green Environment Certificate Program

This 8 week training program entitled “The Green Environment Certificate Program” prepares students for the expected high growth green industry.  The objective of the training is to provide students with practical skills and environmental certifications to enable them to immediately obtain specific jobs in the green/environmental field such as energy audits and renewable energy technicians, asbestos supervisors, and hazardous waste technicians.  Students will be able to participate in environmental remediation and renewable resources work while contributing to the greening of the country.  Students will also learn fundamentals and broad concepts of the green/environmental industry to be better prepared and positioned to move into other green career opportunities.

The Deconstruction Technician Certificate Program

This training program, “The Deconstruction Technician Certificate Program”, is geared toward preparing students for deconstruction projects and green fields.  This course curriculum will expand their knowledge of the ever growing green deconstruction field as well as environmental health and safety issuesinvolved with these projects.  Also this program will afford them the opportunity to obtain certifications, State of Connecticut Licensing and EPA Licensing that will aid in their quest for employment in these fields.  EMGC strives to prepare students with the practical skills and environmental certifications that will enhance their marketability for placement in the green/environmental fields such as energy auditor and weatherization technicians, asbestos and lead supervisors, and hazardous waste technicians.

This eight (8) week training program, “The Green Construction Technology Certificat Program”, is geared toward preparing students for the high growth residential energy efficiency industry.  The objective of this training is to prepare students with the practical skills and environmental certifications that will enhance their marketability for placement in the green/environmental fields such as building analyst and Envelope Professional, Energy Auditor and weatherization technicians, asbestos and lead supervisors, and hazardous waste technicians.

Environmental, Health and Safety Technician

The purpose of the program is to offer introductory and specialized subjects to students interested in environmental, health, and safety issues.  Our goal is to prepare the student to enter the fields of health, safety and environmental compliance through introductory studies in occupational safety and health, toxicology, fire safety, industrial hygiene and a range of professional programs.  In offering this wide range of programs, the student is provided the opportunity to build a diversified background.
