This course discusses the characteristics of asbestos, the different types of asbestos, the types of building materials which may contain asbestos, and how to obtain protection from asbestos hazards. It also teaches worker protection methods from asbestos fiber exposure and protective equipment. The student will learn about respirators and their use. The course will also provide methods to identify and evaluate ACBM conditions. This course will review control methods and operation practices. Finally, the course provides information about the regulations associated with ACBM.
